Hasbro president says Transformers 4 will focus on new robots
With a forth entry in the Transformers franchise coming our way, Hasbro president Brian Goldner has revealed that the sequel will feature a host of new robots.
Apparently the move will help the company sell more licensed toys with TFW2005.com quoting Goldner as saying "Transformers: Dark Of The Moon did well in box office. Regarding toy sales... it's because of same characters in all three movies.
This is why Transformers 4 will have a new cast of robot characters and it will be a story revolving around these new characters."
Little is known about the plot for the forth instalment other than the fact that it will have a smaller budget standing at an estimated $30 million (£19 million) less to spend than Transformers: Dark of the Moon and that director Michael Bay has said it would be his final Transformers film after confirming that it will not be a reboot despite moving in a new direction.
Transformers 4 is set for a release on June 29 2014 with the cast still yet to be confirmed.
