Jesse Eisenberg and Dakota Fanning project Night Moves could be halted

While he can currently be seen in Woody Allen's To Rome with Love, it has emerged that Jesse Eisenberg's next film project Night Moves may come to a halt thanks to a new plagiarism lawsuit.

The Hollywood Reporter report that the Edward R. Pressman Films, the production company that brought us American Psycho claim that Night Moves steals its premise from the novel The Monkey Wrench Gang, to which they own the rights to.

The thriller which is set to begin filming next month with The Social Network star and Now is Good's Dakota Fanning nude the direction of Meek's Cutoff helmer Kelly Reichardt follows three eco-terrorists who plot to blow up a dam.

Both stories feature the eco-terrorism plot, including the plan to blow up a dam, and two similar bombmaker characters, however lawyers for Night Moves plan to respond to the lawsuit with a series of differences between the film and The Monkey Wrench Gang.

Eisenberg has The Double, He's Way More Famous Than You and Louis Leterrier's Now You See Me in post production, while Fanning returns to her role of Jane in the epic finale to The Twilight Saga when Breaking Dawn: Part 2 comes to cinemas on November 16.
