Variety report that X-Men franchise star Lawrence is in early talks to star in the Sony production, whilst The Wrap report that Guardians of the Galaxy hero Pratt is being lined up to star alongside her.
Passengers has been in development for several years and is set on on a spacecraft in the future, with thousands of passengers making an interstellar voyage to a distant planet.
