Katherine Heigl is Ageless
Gray's Anatomy and Knocked Up stunner Katherine Heigl is set to play Adaline, in the upcoming romanic drama 'The Age of Adaline'.
The film tells the story of a young woman, born at the turn of 20th century, who is rendered ageless after an accident. After years of a solitary life, she meets a man who might be worth losing her immortality.
"Accident that causes immortality" sounds like that sort of vague, Benjamin Button style magic-realism that doesn't need explanation, but the idea that Adaline can choose to go mortal for the right man suggests that this is more like a fairytale, where the spell has rules.
The writers are Mills Goodloe and Sal Paskowitz, and it seems like a change of direction for both of them.
The film is being produced by Lakeshore Entertainment, and is eyeing an October start date for shooting.
