Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld takes the lead in Beth McCarthy-Miller’s Why We Broke Up
Oscar nominated True Grit break out star Hailee Steinfeld has signed on to star in Beth McCarthy-Miller's Why We Broke Up.
Why We Broke Up is adapted from a novel from Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events author Daniel Handler that is the story of a failed high school romance, with Handler adapting his own book for the screen.
Steinfeld is set to play Min who begins the film by leaving a letter and a box of mementos on the doorstep of her former boyfriend Ed.
McCarthy-Miller is best known for her work on 30 Rock and is also attached to Melissa McCarthy's Tammy.
Steinfeld is currently filming her role of Petra Arkanian in Gavin Hood's Ender's Game with Hugo star Asa Butterfield and will next be seen in Carlo Carlei's February release of Romeo and Juliet.
