Relativity Media and Temple Hill to make ‘Safe Haven’

07 August 2010

'Safe Haven' is the latest novel by prolific author Nicholas Sparks.

Sparks has become somewhat of a sought after brand, with a string of hits including 'Message In A Bottle', 'The Notebook' and 'Dear John'. His books feature romance, heartbreak, hunks and careworn ladies of every stripe, and thanks to some successful films as the ones mentioned, Hollywood is eagerly buying up every title he cares to release.

Relativity Media and the 'Twilight' producing team of Temple Hill duo of Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen are the latest, and it's no surprise considering that this is the team that brought us the successful 'Dear John' starring the gorgeous Amanda Seyfried and 'G.I. Joe' star Channing Tatum.

Safe Haven isn’t out in bookshops yet, but apparently follows a young woman who is resistant to forming close ties with anyone thanks to a dark and tragic past. But then a series of events pushes her reluctantly into two relationships and her newly blossoming love must fight for attention with the personal demons she carries with her.

'Safe Haven' joins the likes of new manuscript 'The Lucky One' (with Zac Efron attached to star in) on the "in development" slate for the best loved author.
