Rising star Rooney Mara is happy to have a break from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
Oscar nominated sought after rising star Rooney Mara who has starred in the likes of A Nightmare on Elm Street and The Social Network has said that she is happy to take a break from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Mara revealed to Collider that while she loved working on the David finches picture, she needs to take time away from playing the character of Lisbeth Salander "I'm happy to have a little break, but I am eager to revisit her, but, I'm happy to have a break first."
She also explains that she likes playing characters that are different to her adding "For myself, it probably is easier to play a character who is much different, with an accent and who looks different and walks different.
I find that much more enjoyable, but, at the same time, I felt like Lisbeth Salander was very familiar to me. We do have a lot in common. I think a little bit of both is good."
Mara nabbed the role of Emily Hawkins in Steven Soderbergh's pharmaceutical psycho-thriller Side Effects alongside Haywire's Channing Tatum and Contagion's Jude Law replacing Gossip Girl babe Blake Lively.
