Rooney Mara was pushed to the limit with The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo shoot
With the release of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo the 'feel bad' film of the year a few weeks away, rising star Rooney Mara has revealed that she was "pushed" to the limit whilst filming.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph newspaper, the gorgeous star revealed she was "shocked" by the physical and emotional challenges required to shoot "I had prepared myself and I knew how emotionally and physically challenging making 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' would be, but the whole project really pushed me. The physical challenge was probably even more shocking than the emotional, because there were lots of days that we were doing stunts, with many takes, over and over.
It was an amazing experience and I know that I have learnt so much. I am just not quite sure what that is yet."
She also revealed that the audition was frustrating when she talked about it in relation to her audition for The Social Network, both of which for David Fincher "The audition for 'The Social Network' was quite easy, whereas for 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' was a two and a half month process.
"The whole process was quite frustrating towards the end. I felt like, 'You either think I have proved I can do this to you or you don't, but at some point I have to move on with my life.' It was a really long, hard process."
Mara is joined on the big screen with 007's Daniel Craig and a stellar cast of Stellan Skarsgård, Robin Wright, Christopher Plummer, Joely Richardson, Geraldine James, Embeth Davidtz, Goran Visnjic, Julian Sands, Steven Berkoff and Alan Dale.
