Ryan Reynolds explains ‘Green Lantern’ Error

07 August 2010

Talk about dodging a bullet! Ryan Reynolds has spoken out about spotting a potentially embarrassing error whilst filming the comic book adaptation 'Green Lantern'.

Apparently 'The Proposal' star spotted the error to end all errors while filming, he explains "I remember when I read... and there's been rewrites and redrafts and sometimes different dialogue is transcribed by people... and somebody wrote it down wrong. Nobody caught it and at the last minute I did. (I told them) 'You CANNOT get the Oath wrong! We had a meeting about this... this is where (the fans) will murder you.' But it was amazing finally saying it for the first time."

Reynolds said the famous oath at this years Comic-Con International when a fan asked him to.

Lantern's oath should read as thus:

In brightest day, in blackest night,

No evil shall escape my sight,

Let those who worship evil's might,

Beware my power...Green Lantern's Light!

'Green Lantern' also stars 'Gossip Girl' star Blake Lively as Carol Ferris and Mark Strong as the villainous Sinestro and arrives in cinemas next year.
