Will Angelina Jolie make her Directorial Debut with Bosnian Love Story?

23 August 2010

While there is no official word as to what Angelina Jolie's involvement is, it is being reported that her next project will be a love story set during the Bosnian War that started in 1992 and ended in 1995.

Some say that this will be her directorial debut, whatever the case Jolie was in Sarajevo at the weekend in her official UN Ambassador role, meeting members of Bosnia's inter-ethnic presidency to discuss the refugee situation.

She said "The film is a love story, not a political statement, the cast will feature various ethnicities of the former Yugoslavia. I would like to involve as many local people as possible and learn as much as I can."

There are many reports, some say she'll also take the lead female role, the project will be finalised at the start of September, when Jolie meets with her prospective Serbian co-producer Filip Gajic, and that Rade Serbedzija of 'Fugitive Pieces' fame will co-star.
