The lives of an Asian community living in Thatcher’s Britain. Uncle Nasser hands over his laundrette to his nephew Omar. Omar’s friend Johnny, who finds himself alienated from the white and Asian London communities, helps him get the project off the ground. A romantic intrigue develops between Johnny and Omar’s cousin, Tania. A whole host of other characters contribute to this comedy which has an optimistic message in the face of adversity, that anybody can succeed.
