Born April 18, 1963, in Toronto, Ontario, Eric McCormack was raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Though he has had many television and film roles, McCormack became a household name when he was cast as Will in the comedy series Will & Grace. Also having guest-starred in shows such as The Commish, Veronica’s Closet and Ally McBeal, McCormack was eventually invited to host NBC’s Saturday Night Live. He has acted in several made-for-TV movies, including Much Ado About Nothing, The Man Who Wouldn’t Die and the mini-series Lonesome Dove. In 2001, he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his work on Will & Grace. In 2009, he returns to TV in the series, Trust Me, also starring Tom Cavanaugh. McCormack is married and the father of one son.
