Alexis Bledel still 50 Shades of Grey favourite
Gilmore Girls alumni Alexis Bledel has emerged the favourite for Sam Taylor-Wood's Fifty Shades of Grey.
Paddy Power rate Alexis Bledel as the favourite to play Ana, at just 5/1, with the likes of Amanda Seyfried, Emilia Clarke, Felicity Jones and ex-porn star Sasha Grey at 10/1.
A spokesperson for the bookmaker said "We've seen a ton of money on Alexis Bledel and it's clear punters fancy her for the role - we'll be facing a spanking payout if she's tied down for the role."
William Hill are also big fans of Bledel, offering odds of 2/1 with Joe Crilly explaining "Alexis has not been averse to flashing a bit of flesh in Mad Men and ultimately, that will be a prerequisite to playing Ms Steele.
She also has the acting clout to star in what will be the biggest book adaptation since the Harry Potter films."
Despite some actresses ruling themselves out of the role of Ana, William Hill are also offing odds on Emma Watson at 6/1 even though she has said that her taking the role is ridiculous and Mila Kunis is second favourite at 9/2 with Ladbrookes inexplicably making her their favourite at 3/1.
