Charlie Sheen’s excited to return to ‘Major League’

26 June 2010

Batter up! 'Two And A Half Men' star Charlie Sheen is set to reprise his role from the 1989 baseball film 'Major League'.

Mr. Sheen played Ricky 'Wild Thing' Vaughn in the original and the film's director is hoping to tempt the 'Wall Street' actor back to the franchise.

David S. Ward the director of the original and the 1994 follow up said “We're actually talking about doing one right now. I've written, what I see, as 'Major League 3'. We're putting that together as we speak. It's 20 years later, and 'Wild Thing' comes out of retirement to work with this 19-year-old player. We've actually got three new characters in the new film. And if the new film is popular, they could carry the franchise on. Sheen's excited to do it, if and when it happens.”

David is also hoping to get stars including Wesley Snipes and Tom Berenger back to the franchise.

Charlie can next be seen in 'Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps' where he reprises his role of Bud Fox from the 1988 original.
