EastEnders Star Patsy Kensit Stars As Judy Carver In New Photo Set For RENEGADES Ahead Of Its Home Entertainment Release In February
Following the premiere last Thursday, The Fan Carpet are excited to present the brand new exclusive photos of Eastenders star Patsy Kensit as Judy Carver in her new film RENEGADES which is NOW on UK digital today!
She plays the daughter of Carver, played by screen legend Lee Majors – a courageous former green beret and true gentleman, who stands by soldiers old and new and helps them in their hour of need. Patsy stars with Nick Moran (Lock Stock), who plays a war veteran (seen here in the pics), who comes to Carver support, and is introduced to his loyal old special forces comrades Peck (Ian Ogilvy), Woody (Billy Murray) and Harris (Paul Barber), who welcome the new-recruit with open arms.
When Carver is shockingly murdered, the ex-army Renegades band together to protect his daughter Judy (Patsy Kensit), who is in mortal danger and exact revenge on those responsible… a vicious international drug gang, led by the fearsome Goram (Louis Mandylor). They’re ready to dispense their own brand of old-school justice on the mean streets of London.
Patsy Kensit says "I had a ball making Renegades on the mean streets of London – it was great fun playing Lee Majors’ daughter, I grew up watching him on TV. It was wonderful working with old friends like Billy Murray and Nick Moran and my new one, the amazing Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott – there was a wonderful camaraderie between the cast and crew, it really felt like something special.
My character, Judy Carver, is a councillor who is pushing back against a new drug gang run by mobster Goram (played by the brilliant Louis Mandylor from My Big Fat Greek Wedding) which puts myself and my father in the line of fire. My dad tries to warn the gang off but they murder him, which prompts his old special forces comrades to seek revenge.
I have an action-packed role in the movie and am right in the middle of the pitched battle at the end, swinging a baseball bat at the villains and getting my hands dirty.
Renegades is a classy British revenge movie, Harry Brown meets The Wild Geese, and there’s something for everyone who loved the action movies of the 80s and 90s – humour, action and an amazing cast."
