The Fan Carpet are excited to share the news that the campaign for Damon Rickard's directorial debut of feature film NEVER HAVE I EVER is now live on Kickstarter!
NEVER HAVE I EVER is an edgy character driven thriller from the award winning team behind THE TOUR, THE PACKAGE, STOLEN and EAT ME OUT (OF HOUSE AND HOME) and is the feature debut of writer/director DAMON RICKARD.

Sam is having a bad day. He is battling an unhealthy relationship with alcohol, he is late on a deadline for a writing gig and risks having to pay back an advance he can’t afford to when a series of strange things start happening to him. A chance encounter whilst drowning his sorrows sends his already bad day spinning in directions he couldn’t possibly have seen coming. All roads lead back to an incident from his youth and a butterfly effect which sees him embroiled in a continually escalating game of never have I ever.
The cast that has been put together for this film is brim full of talent, all joining a low budget project based on the strength of the material. The film stars ANDREW LEE POTTS (PRIMEVAL, THE CROWN), BEATRICE FLETCHER (WRATH OF VAN HELSING, HAYWIRE), AMBER DOIG-THORNE (WINNIE THE POOH: BLOOD & HONEY), DAVY EDUARD KING (TO CATCH A SPY), NATASHA KILLIP (DON’T LET GO), JOHNNY VIVASH (WALKING AGAINST THE RAIN, ISAAC), POPPY ANN WILLIAMS (STILL LIFE), TONY SANDS (THE KRAYS, NEFARIOUS) & MARTINA GREENWOOD. Damon also welcomes back his frequent collaborator JACK AYERS as his Director of Photography as well as bringing MEL MORLEY on board as Producer.
Whilst set in current times it will lean on Damon’s most cherished period of genre filmmaking - the 80’s. This will be reflected in the synth score by MITCH BAIN (A GHOST WAITS, WHEN I CONSUME YOU), which will be available as a digital download as part of the rewards on offer, and use of neon colour palettes. The narrative, however, is very Hitchcokian in nature, reminiscent of his works such as Vertigo. The script has been labelled “gripping” only allowing the viewer to be aware of the same things the main characters are, pushing the suspense right to the very end.

Biographies
DIRECTOR, Damon Rickard
Damon is an award winning writer / director and has been in the genre world for almost 10 years. He has made a number of well received short films that have played some of the most prestigious festivals in the world from London’s FrightFest to LA’s Screamfest.
Damon’s likes to root of his narratives in character driven plots. Whilst he has a love for the gore side of horror and a good slasher, his work tends to centre around emotion, what ordinary people will do in extraordinary situations and how we can’t escape our pasts. He finds the human element of genre filmmaking fascinating.
With a variety of influences from John Carpenter to Tony Scott, Damon incorporates his vast array of film knowledge into his projects and tries to ensure he doesn’t do the same thing twice. Never Have I Ever will be his feature film debut which continues that trend.
Andrew Lee Potts as Sam
Andrew has been on our screens for years appearing in such TV and films as Band of Brothers, Primeval, The Witcher, The Crown, 400 Bullets, House of Salem and Lore. He is an immense talent and will bring the character well and truly to life.
Beatrice Fletcher as Mara
Beatrice has been in and around the horror genre for the past few years starring in Croc!, Wrath of Van Helsing, Shockwaves and Haywire.
Amber Doig-Thorne as Ileana
Amber is one of the hardest working actresses in the indie horror world today. She is hot off the huge success of Winnie the Pooh: Blood & Honey Alongside that you can also catch her in Return of Krampus, Minacious, Alien Invasion and the upcoming Realm of the Waterfall
