27 August 2010

'Heroes' alum Malcolm McDowell has reportedly signed to join 'Clueless' beauty Alicia Silverstone and the gorgeous 'She’s Out Of My League' star Krysten Ritter in the Amy Heckerling directed 'Vamps'.

'Vamps' is a comedy that follows two beautiful young female vampires (Silverstone and Ritter) who are content to enjoy the nightlife of New York and use the single bachelors of the city as their suck toys, but trouble arises when they fall in love with mortals, they must then decide whether to follow their hearts and risk suffering the wrath of their senior vamp played by Sigourney Weaver.

Rounding out the cast are the likes of Richard Lewis, Wallace Shawn, Justin Kirk and Kristen Johnston, while McDowell will play Vlad the Impaler, who goes around the city as Vlad Tepish; in a velvet jogging suit he's an aficionado and knitting fanatic, with his distinct voice, the British star that made his name in 'A Clockwork Orange' is the perfect choice for the legendary Dracula... 'Vamps' is shooting soon and is expected in cinemas in 2011.
