TV favourites Martin Compston (Line of Duty, Mary Queen of Scots) and Sophie Rundle (Gentleman Jack, Peaky Blinders) star in gritty, new BBC thriller The Nest, from BAFTA-winning writer Nicole Taylor (Three Girls, Wild Rose), that will have viewers hooked.

This gripping, five-part drama, sees a wealthy couple make a pact with a teenage girl that will change all of their lives forever. Following its run on BBC One it arrives on DVD 18 May 2020 from Acorn Media International.

Dan (Compston) and Emily (Rundle) are crazy about each other. They live in a huge house, in a beautiful location just outside Glasgow and want for nothing. All that’s missing is a baby...but they’ve been trying for years.

When a chance encounter leads the couple to Kaya, played by rising-star Mirren Mack, an 18-year-old from the other side of the city, their luck could be about to change. Her life is as precarious as theirs is comfortable, so when Kaya agrees to carry their baby, it feels like they were meant to meet...but who really is Kaya, and could there be more to her motivation than meets the eye?

The brilliant cast also includes Shirley Henderson (The ABC Murders, Happy Valley), Katie Leung (Chimerica, Strangers), David Hayman (Fisherman’s Friends), Fiona Bell (Shetland), James Harkness (Wild Rose), Bailey Patrick (London Kills), Kate Dickie (Game of Thrones), Paul Brannigan (Under The Skin) and Samuel Small (Game of Thrones).

Mired in the tensions between two very different sides of Glasgow, The Nest is a thrilling take on the life- changing world of surrogacy and the lengths people will go in their desperation to be parents.
