Network Releasing To Distribute RETURN TO ITHACA From Palme d’Or Winner and Oscar Nominee Laurent Cantet

Network Releasing today is delighted to announce that it will be releasing Oscar nominated and Palme d’Or winning director Laurent Cantet’s Return To Ithaca.

Directed by Laurent Cantet (The Class, Human Resources, Time Out, Heading South), written by Leonardo Padura and Laurent Cantet and starring Isabel Santos, Jorge Perugorría, Fernando Hechevarría, Néstor Jiménez and Pedro Julio Díaz Ferran, Return To Ithaca will screen at Curzon Bloomsbury and will be available on Curzon Home Cinema, Amazon & BT from 25th Aug and on DVD from 25th Sept.

Laurent Cantet won the Venice Days Award at Venice Film Festival 2014 for Return To Ithaca and also received a Critics Award honourable mention at Sao Paulo International Film Festival 2014.

The film is set at sunset on a terrace overlooking Havana. Five friends gather to celebrate the return of Amadeo after 16 years of exile. From dusk to dawn, they reminisce about their youth, the group they used to form, the faith they had in the future... but also their disillusionment.
