Official Trailer for Karan Johar’s Highly Anticipated for Spellbinding Tale Of Eternal Love KALANK Unveiled by Fox Star Hindi

After weeks of anticipation, the official trailer of the highly anticipated film Kalank has released. An spellbinding tale of eternal love, the trailer provides a riveting glimpse of the epic romantic drama.

Featuring an electrifying ensemble star cast including Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit, the trailer follows the entangled lives of six enigmatic, esoteric and wistful characters in search of love.

The Kalank trailer, opens with a brief glimpse of each character - Sonakshi Sinha smiles as Satya, whilst Alia Bhatt’s Roop enjoys the festivities. Varun Dhawan’s daredevil Zafar works hard at a foundry, whilst Aditya Roy Kapur's Dev Chaudhary looks on in dismay at some unseen event. Finally, Sanjay Dutt’s "formidable" Balraj Chaudhary stands watch over the city at dusk.

The trailer depicts a tale of forbidden love, longing and relationships against a backdrop of civil unrest in in the pre-independence era of 1945 India. Alia Bhatt’s ominous dialogue says “The one decision I took in anger changed mine and everyone’s lives around me".

The audience sees impactful sequences from the film including majestic dance sequences, Madhuri Dixit’s Begum Bahaar in tears and Varun Dhawan’s character racing to reach Alia’s hand as she herself is saved by Aditya Roy Kapur's amid the flames of unrest. Viewers also get their first glimpse at Kunal Kemmu’s mysterious previously unannounced character.

The most dramatic dialogues of the trailer sees Varun Dhawan’s Zafar ask "Are you willing to sacrifice everything?" as Alia Bhatt’s Roop responds "I have nothing to lose" . Viewers will be enamoured with the drama, grace and passion of the trailer which is sure to leave them excited for more.

‘Kalank’ is an epic romantic drama of six enigmatic, esoteric and wistful characters entangled in search of love but separated by the dichotomy between the two worlds of Husnabad, a town in North India.

The elite, opulent and solemn world of the Chaudhry family, and the wild, mysterious and musical underbelly of the town, Hira Mandi, clash when Roop Chaudhry encounters Zafar, a daredevil from Hira Mandi, unleashing deep-buried truths, secrets of betrayal and affairs that threaten to bring the both worlds crashing down.

Set in 1945, in Pre-Independent India, ‘Kalank’ is the story of a vivid and ethereal world, lost when the fire of Partition engulfs the city and the country. It’s the story of the shades of Reds in their lives as they yearn for hues of love while Husnabad gets soaked in the reds of violence and revenge.
