Reese Witherspoon believes now is the time for Elle Woods to return with LEGALLY BLONDE 3
Sought after Actress Reese Witherspoon who is known for such films as Wild, Walk the Line and Sweet Home Alabama has fuelled hopes for a third entry in the beloved Legally Blonde series.
Talking on Lifetime's Fashionably Late Witherspoon believes now is the time for Elle Woods to return explaining "A lot of writers over the years have come up with different ideas for it.
I actually think it's kind of great right now because we're talking about women in politics and how important that is to get more women. And I think it'd be kind of a cool thing to have her be a Supreme Court justice or someone who runs for office.
I think we're ready to see Elle and see what she's up to lately."
Whilst there are no plans for a Legally Blonde 3, Witherspoon finish by saying that she doesn't know what's happening adding "Call MGM."
Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde was released 12 years ago and saw the plucky protagonist head to Washington D.C. in order to pass a bill to ban animal testing.
Witherspoon was last seen as Cooper in Hot Pursuit and is gearing up to feature in Downsizing from filmmaker Alexander Payne and the TV series Big Little Lies alongside Nicole Kidman. She has also been announced to lead Paul Feig’s Wish List.
