SPACE JAM Tops The List As LiveRugbyTickets Reveal The Top 20 Sports Movies to Watch in Lockdown as Revealed by YOU!

With ALL sports attractions cancelled due to Covid-19, we are missing the familiarity of regular sports games and shows on our TVs. So much so that we’re turning to movies to get our fix.

And with the release of Disney+ on Tuesday (24/03/20), which sports movies are available, and which are the best?

LiveRugbyTickets has found out. 3,500 sports fans across the UK have voted for their favourite 20 sports films*, revealing the best ones to watch whilst in lockdown!

RESULTS:

In first place, Brits’ top sports movie of all time is Space Jam – the nostalgic poke at the events between Michael Jordan’s initial retirement and comeback two years later was chosen by a whopping 88% of respondents as one of their top 20.

In second place is The Blind Side. This heart-warming classic is worthy of second place and has been picked by 86% of Brits.

Third, fourth and fifth place are claimed by Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Goal! (franchise) and The Mighty Ducks (franchise) – these classics were chosen by 85%, 83% and 82% of participants.

Just missing out on the top five is Cool Runnings in sixth place. The comedy masterpiece received 80% of the love from respondents.

Flipping the table, in 20th place is Moneyball. While the bottom of the top 20, it still scores a respectable 55%.

This is followed by:

• Goon (franchise) – 58%
• Rush – 59%
• Le Mans ‘66 – 61%
• The Longest Yard – 63%
