She was last seen in the big screen adaptation of Les Misérables and word is that Samantha Barks has landed a role in Universal Pictures' reboot of Dracula.
The Hollywood Reporter report that Barks is attached to play a figure from Eastern European myth known as a baba yaga – a young woman who is transformed into a vicious witch in the film that sees The Hobbit's Luke Evans as the legendary vampire.
Boardwalk Empire's Charlie Cox, Thor Kristjansson and Game of Thrones actor Art Parkinson have also joined the film with Parkinson set to play Dracula's son Ingeras.
Penned by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless and will be directed by first-time feature filmmaker Gary Shore, Dracula also has Dominic Cooper and The Amazing Spider-Man 2's Sarah Gadon attached to the film.
Barks will next be seen in John Stephenson's The Christmas Candle alongside Lesley Manville.
