SYNOPSIS
In this documentary film, director Nick Broomfield conducts his own investigation of two separate drive-by shootings that took the lives of rappers Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur in the late 1990s. He starts with the original police investigations and knits together pieces of information about the killings while establishing the framework of the Los Angeles gangsta rap scene. However, even an interview with Biggie’s mom doesn’t bring Broomfield any closer to unraveling the rappers’ mysterious murders.
