SYNOPSIS
Tango and Cash. Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell star as Tango & Cash, two hot-shot, rival Los Angeles detectives forced to work together even though they are complete opposites. The only things the two cops have in common are their out-sized egos and an underworld crime boss who frames them in a drug deal. Finding themselves in prison together, the unlikely duo break out and go after the mobster in this wise-cracking, fast-paced action thriller.
Atypically directed by Russian filmmaker Andrei Konchalovsky (collaborator with arthouse cinema legend Andrei Tarkovsky and older brother of director Nikita Mikhalkov), TANGO & CASH remains one of the unsung action-comedy buddy films of the 1980s.
