"It is an adrenaline pumping ride throughout with some good character development and an opportunity to create a unique horror franchise"

Let me say that I LOVE Games. Especially if you bring the concept of sinister & sadistic games to horror movies like (of course) SAW. Escape Room seems to be The next instalment in the Hunger Games of Horror.

Zoey Davis (Taylor Russell) is told to go out and enjoy herself more often. So she accepts an invitation along with 5 individuals (who seem very different but have one unique thing in common) to an opportunity to win money by participating in a series of Escape Rooms that put their wits to the test as these Escape Rooms kill those who don't complete the tasks. Within each room the participants are faced with their dark pasts and must work together to survive. But who are these people? who made these rooms? and what are these people willing to do in order to survive.

Think SAW if it was a game show and you have one of the most unique horror movies to come out in some time. The Escape Rooms themselves are very well cleverly designed and will have the audience guessing along with the participants throughout.

I am hopeful for a franchise as there are many different rooms to make interesting characters in themselves, that can be put to the test in such intense environments. It's when the clock is counting down that you will see the best (and worst) of these people involved.

It is an adrenaline pumping ride throughout with some good character development and an opportunity to create a unique horror franchise. This may sound a little bias as I'm a huge Daredevil fan but I was pleased with Deborah Ann Wolls' performance in this movie along with Tyler Labines' funny one-liners and especially Taylor Russell who plays an (at first) vulnerable young woman who uses her smarts to overcome the challenges she faces.

Hopefully The Start of Something Wonderfully Scary.
