"an adventure with some excellent accidents, making you watch the screen intently to see how the next accident will happen"

Final Destination Bloodlines is the sixth instalment of the forgotten franchise, where death stalks the survivors of a catastrophe, the last one was brought to screens in 2011, I actually enjoyed this one; it was very funny, very quirky and I left thinking I’d go see that again. It was a very fast paced film and this movie will continue the franchise.

It starts in the familar fashion as the previous entries, with Iris Campbell (Brec Bassinger) having a premonition that something bad is going to happen on the Skyview Restaurant Tower and she ultimately saves a lot of lives.

Strangely, it is her granddaughter having the vision, Stefani Lewis (Kaitlyn Santa Juana). She keeps having the same dream for months; a woman with her boyfriend on the top of the Skyview Restaurant Tower, the vision itself was done really well, we find out that the Skyview Restaurant Tower was a restaurant that opened and collapsed in May 1968, where it was made 6 months too early and not properly tested causing the structure of the tower to be weak and it was closed down for being unsafe. I really enjoyed the opening scene; there are some really good imaginative deaths. A few claps in the audience to the demise of one of the kids that threw the penny.

So, the granddaughter; asks her family about Iris and they say she is insane, they explain that she went mental at the Skyview Restaurant Tower and she became a recluse and her children had difficult upbringings because of it. Eventually Stefani gets the address and goes to see her, Iris Explains that she had messed with deaths design and all the people that were on the Skyview Restaurant Tower have now been killed, except 2 people, so now death is on the path to wipe out the entire family, so Stefani looks at the family tree and the order that they will die. Iris explains that you can see death coming, you just need to pay attention.

What follows is an adventure with some excellent accidents, making you watch the screen intently to see how the next accident will happen with my favourite scene being the events in the tattoo and piercing parlour. An audible ouch!

There is a lovely cameo from Tony Todd as William Bludworth, where the dearly departed actor explains that only one person successfully cheated death before and how to do it.

I recommend going to see this film its a light hearted Comedy Horror with a lot of funny characters, Characters you want to survive and some characters you can’t wait to see die in a horrible fashion, there were some bad acting at times, but overall a solid movie.
