SYNOPSIS
Former swimming champion Adam is in his early 60s, the pool attendant at a luxury hotel resort in Chad.
But when new management takes over, Adam is demoted in favour of his son, leaving him hurt, resentful and humiliated.
With the country in the throes of civil war, his inner turmoil is exacerbated by rising tensions and authoritarian demands
for the ‘war effort’, forcing Adam – penniless, and under pressure to contribute – to commit a terrible act of betrayal.
