Talented, multi-faceted young actor with numerous standout performances, from the murderous religious fanatic opposite Jodie Foster in Contact to the smart-mouthed soldier in Paul Verhoeven’s Starship Troopers.
Busey was recently seen in James Mangold’s thriller Identity opposite John Cusack and Amanda Peet. He also starred in the Mick Jackson directed film The First Twenty Million and the independent film Fast Sofa. Additionally he starred in Revolution Studios’ Tomcats opposite Shannon Elizabeth and Jerry O’Connell.
For three years, Busey took part in an intensive acting program, after which he went to Florida for a three-month workshop with acclaimed acting coach James Best, who had taught Busey’s father Gary in the 1960s. Soon after, parts in films like James L. Brooks’ I’ll Do Anything and SFW came his way, leading to higher-profile parts in Peter Jackson’s The Frighteners, Enemy of the State, Home Fries, Twister, Held Up and Tail Lights Fade.
