Michelle Dockery is a Golden Globe and Emmy nominated English actress and singer. She is best known for her role as Lady Mary Crawley in the ITV drama series Downton Abbey.
After graduating from Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2004, Michelle became a member of the National Youth Theater and made her television debut in Fingersmith in 2005.
Michelle is also a talented jazz singer, dancer and guitarist. She sang at the 50th Anniversary of Ronnie Scott’s Jazz club in London. Sadie and the Hothead is a band formed by Elizabeth McGovern, who plays her mother in Downton Abbey.
Before drama school, admits to having lost out on roles when she was younger due to her Essex accent.
