Bianca Bree discusses her latest Sci-Fi role and her future aspirations

U.F.O
13 December 2012

The Fan Carpet‘s Marc Jason Ali had the pleasure to speak to newcomer Bianca Bree who takes the lead as Carrie in Dominic Burns’ U.F.O.

At just 22, she has co-produced Assassination Games and 6 Bullets, which she also starred in alongside her father; action legend Jean-Claude Van Damme.

A violent earthquake is followed by strange lights in the sky. All power has been cut across the planet. As the clouds clear, a UFO appears, a UFO the size of a city.

The attack has yet to begin but with no electricity, humanity is helpless in the face of a vast alien army. The battle for earth is drawn gear and everyone will need to fight not just for their own survival but for that of the human race.

With a stunning cast that includes explosive new stars Bianca Bree and Sean Brosnan alongside Sean Pertwee (Event Horizon, Dog Solider), Julian Glover (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Empire Strikes Back), and action legend Jean Claude Van Damme (Expendables 2, Timecop), UFO is an action-packed sci-fi spectacular.

Revolver Entertainment release U.F.O tomorrow, it is being described as an explosive mix of Independence Day and District 9.

Congratulations with the release tomorrow, you must be thrilled? Can you tell us about your character?

Basically I am an American girl who came over from Los Angeles to the UK, I come across a few new friends that I made and from there the story takes off, and I can’t really say anything else.

What inspired you to be a part of it?

Well I had an email from Dom, and the week before my mum was yelling at me saying that I hadn’t sent a response to the roles I was being offered, and I was like ‘ok whatever’ and they kind of just set it up for me and I just jumped into it, and put my feet into cold water and just had a really great experience from it.

What was it like working with your Father?

It’s good, any kid working with their Father in a regular job or in the industry, you know it’s simple, it’s easy, and a lot of advice since he’s been through it since he was young.

Bianca, what’s on the horizon for you?

I’m just finishing a few little short projects at the moment and then I have the project coming up with Dom and that’s pretty much it for now, and keep training and stuff until that happens.

Do you prefer acting or producing?

Actually writing and directing, but I do enjoy acting a lot though. Right now acting but eventually directing.
