SYNOPSIS
John Huston’s last movie is a take on James Joyce’s celebrated tale.It is Christmas time in Dublin at the turn of the century, and the snow covered streets appear peaceful and serene. But not too far away, a family is celebrating Twelfth Night. Music, dancing, conversation and wit abound not to mention pure Irish charm. A charm exuded by Gabriel and his wife Gretta. But as you’re drawn closer into their life and their love, uncertainty turns into confusion. Things may not be as they seem, Gretta reveals a dark but tender secret to her husband. He suddenly understands that nothing between them, nor in his own life, can ever be the same again.
