In the aftermath of a climate-driven civil war, a militant group, known as the Conservancy, has seized control of much of the country and the nation is in the grip of fear.
Hiding in a remote cottage on the edge of the Bruce Peninsula, newly pregnant Nia (Mathews) must choose between surrendering to the militia with her boyfriend Ethan (Smith) or attempting an escape with her sister Penny (Antoine), in search of The Extremists, a rumoured resistance group.
With time running out and the enemy closing in, Nia must decide what kind of world she wants to bring her baby into and what she’s willing to risk to bring about change.
