SYNOPSIS
DAAL. Prisha appears to be a successful, cultured author living a quiet life in Darjeeling, deeply connected to the nature that surrounds her. However, her tranquil life is a meticulously crafted facade concealing deep trauma from a complex past, a past she is still trying to figure out while navigating the vulnerabilities of her love life.
Following the success of her latest novels, Prisha becomes acutely aware of the persistent harassment and abuse women face within her community. Utilizing the sharp research skills of a thriller novelist, she begins tracking and targeting these men. The film follows her dark, calculated path of vengeance, where she treats her acts of retribution not merely as crimes, but as ritualistic sacrifices to nature itself. The psychological tension escalates to a breaking point when Kabir, an old acquaintance from London, re-enters her life.
This internal fractured reality constantly collides with her attempt to establish a normal life, particularly as she navigates the delicate vulnerabilities of her love life. The prospect of genuine romantic intimacy poses a constant threat to her emotional equilibrium.
