SYNOPSIS
IMMATERIAL. Naomi (Higbee) a young queer woman living with PTSD and struggling with drug addiction, lives in isolation on a South London council estate. Banned from visiting her mother in hospital due to previous drug-related poor behaviour – Naomi begs for visitation. She conjures a fantasy of entering a drug recovery programme in order to be with her mother. This doomed fantasy becomes Naomi’s resolution for everything, including rekindling of her relationship with her ex-girlfriend Lily (Rose).
Lurking beneath her survival instincts & ingenuity, Naomi’s vulnerability peeks through. She tries to keep it together, whilst enduring the symptoms of PTSD and staving off the sexually transactional advances of the much older Jack (Greco). Naomi’s world comes crashing down when she is rejected by Lily – giving into the seemingly inevitable: calling Jack for a night of sex and drugs.
