"it's easy to see why it's so popular with an interesting storyline which is a dark commentary of human being's carnal nature and obsession for conflict"

Taking place five years after the events of 'Beyond Skyline' a virus is now spreading that is reverting the pilots back to their possessed alien selves which threatens all of humanity itself. The virus has already hit Dublin and now is making its way to London.

It's up to a team lead by General Radford (Alexander Siddig) which includes the hero of the human resistance Rose (Lindsey Morgan) to use an alien ship and jump speed to the aliens' home world and steal a device that can help the pilots revert back to their human selves before London is wiped off the map for good.

As usual not everything goes so smoothly as the team is ambushed by some unexpected foes and thus the team must fight enemies both outside and within to save humanity from the aliens and themselves too.

The 'Skyline' series has a decent following which has allowed them to make not one but TWO sequels (and maybe a third if they play their card rights) and it's easy to see why it's so popular with an interesting storyline which is a dark commentary of human being's carnal nature and obsession for conflict against what it doesn't understand.

The action and fight sequences are great and well thoughtout, the special effects are basic for the standards that you see in most sci-fi movies these days but it isn't for their lack of trying. Lindsey Morgan plays a great character who is dealing with the guilt of her past mistakes whilst trying to figure out who she is and why she is capable of such unique gifts. Was also pleased to see such cult icons as Rhona Mitra and James Cosmo make appearances too.

Director Liam O'Donnell has done a great job with this chapter in a series that doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon and I personally would be interested to see where we go next in this journey.
