We Love George R. R. Martin’s Westeros, But Recent Reports Suggest No New Game of Thrones Spinoffs in Development

There has been a lot of discussion about what the next Game of Thrones spinoff could be, but fans of the fantasy universe got some bad news recently. According to the HBO boss, there are currently no new spinoffs set in George R. R. Martin’s world in development.

It seems that the company is putting its full focus into House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms currently. With such a huge audience for this type of content, though, there’s a chance that there could be more spinoffs in the future.

Game of Thrones Legacy Lives On

Game of Thrones is regarded by many as one of the greatest TV series of all time, and fans felt like they’d lost a part of their lives when it ended in 2019. It was a no-brainer for HBO to keep the universe alive, with Martin’s rich fantasy world offering a plethora of options when it comes to spinoffs. The legacy of the show has lived on in other ways as well, with a wide range of merchandise related to the series.
