The London Rolling Film Festival Presents Its Jury + 12 Awards Including The Inaugural Kimberley Marren Recognition Award

The London Rolling Film Festival proudly presents its Jury and its twelve Awards. Taking place on Sunday, August 13th, 2023 in the heart of London - at the VUE Cinema Piccadilly - this festival celebrates a diverse range of cinematic voices.

A jury of industry professionals, Athena Mandis (Filmmaker, Film Academic), Tom Paton (Director, Writer, Producer), Jenna Suru (Programmer at Paris International Film Festival), Stephen Cooper-Read (Investor) and Natasha Marburger (Producer / Festival Director) will assign the following Awards:

Best Short Film - Cash Price £500 Best Director
Best Performance
Best Music Score
Best Screenplay
Best Cinematography
Best Production Design
Best Make up and Hairstyling
Best Costume Design
Best Casting

The specialty of London Rolling Film Festival is its Audience Award. As per its long- rolling tradition, the festival offers the audience the chance to select the Best Short Film. The winner of this Award will walk home with a cash prize made by audience donations.

The short films official selection, competing for a cash price of £500, includes a diverse range of compelling films, each offering a unique and thought-provoking perspective. The selected films are:

  • “Speaker” by Alan Hamwan

  • “The Cocoon" by David Shen Miller

  • “Playtime” by Jasper Shah

  • “Stay Behind” by Federica Schiavello

  • “Aborted” by Lee Bamsey

  • “Night Moves” by Jamie Cutler

  • “A Dose Of Nature” by Chiara Brambilla

  • “A Mind Full” by Steve Whiteley
